Yesterday I received the second half of my Tier 4 Baldur Theme force, Trollbloods starter, and paints. I was so excited, that I went home and got to finishing up all the bases right away. They should still be drying right now, but hopefully will be finished by tomorrow for painting. I was running really low on battlefield brown, so getting the replacement was a godsend, and I'll be trying out Army Painter's Dark Tone as a replacement for Devlan Mud. I'll let everyone know how that goes. Picture shows an empty vallejo pumice stone tub, all the bases done, and you can take a peek at the bottom left of Megalith in his built and magnificent glory. Oh, and a Woldwyrd. Attachments:

No pictures today, but I got some basing done on the Woldwyrd and the Shifting stones. I should be able to finish both tonight if I get some good painting time in. The rest of the bases were coated with a layer of brown and left to dry, I may have to make a second pass over them though.
Also working on getting all the models cleaned, pinned, and primed. Working on the cleaning and pinning part right now.

More Khador forces awaiting painting: Man-o-War Bombadiers led by the Bombshell Black Ivan and a Decimator A War Dog, Kovnik Malakov and a Man Hunter Is there anywhere around here that I can buy paint like Army Painter or GW paint? Or do I have to order it?

Looking good Torgrinn! Keep it up! You will definitely have to order it. There is a store in Hiroshima that sells Vallejo paints, but I'm not sure how new they are. I'd recommend going with www.thewarstore.com they have pretty good prices, and you'll get your stuff in about a weeks time. There may be a couple other stores that can be ordered from, but Neal is probably the most stable online vendor I've ever dealt with. He carries both Army Painter and P3 products. I finished the wyrd last night and got a good way into finishing the shifting stones. I'll be able to finish those tonight, hopefully.

Phew, all finished! Last month the little man was super helpful for my painting, but this month he's not helping AT ALL... so, these guys took a little longer than I thought they would. But at last, here they are! Next on the painting table... what I've been waiting to paint since I first bought Warmachine... Wracks! Oh, the sweet music of suffering!

Damn your fast, Koala! Nice Deliverers! I`m finally on the board with some painting points: Horgle Ironstrike. He was actually a pregnant dog to paint, as hard as any warlock...even though he`s just a piddly 3-point solo. I also painted Dahlia and Skarath, even though they don`t count.

Sick painting work people. With the chick in the hospital after giving me a new baby boy, I was able to get quite a bit of painting done over the evenings alone. Here is the result of that time. Now however, I've had no time to paint except for an hour last night, in which I worked on Baldur (yes I may just finish him up before our next meeting.

I`m not going down without a fight! I picked up some more stuff to paint. These are the (soon to be extinct METAL) Runeshapers and Trollkins Sluggers (no assembly required...they are literally one piece of metal each...in these poses. With just three belts of ammo to attach to their sluggers). They were the easiest models i`ve ever cleaned and assembled. DTB Attachments:

Those guys do look easy to assemble. Good luck on the painting. You will have a fight ahead of you to get in all the games you need to keep up with everyone else!

Oh, sweet suffering! Your pain belongs to the Creator! I decided to try and finish one last model before the weekend meeting, to being the total of painted models up to 10 (plus tabards for the Cinerators) and so, here she is, the lady so ambitious even her own countrymen hate her, Feora, before and after!

Many games were hard fought and won yesterday at our second official meeting of the 2014 JJL. We had 5 of our 9 participants show up for a fun day of gaming and great food. The morning was looking like it wasn't going to be a very nice day with thundershowers, but Nemo stepped in and cleared the air, and it turned out to be one of the best days of summer so far. This month saw increase from battle box games to 15 points. The addition of just a few points to our lists made the tactical decisions all the much harder and the games increased exponentially in length. By the afternoon we had decided to time our games to 10 minute turns.
Rachel got in a couple games allowing her practice with the addition of a couple different models to test their strengths and weaknesses. Some of us learned something new about magic, and the ability to cast within combat. Other's showed up late, but still got in a good amount of games. Practice for the Japan Open 2014 50 point Steamroller tournament began, with a good bout between Rachel and Daniel ending in a draw of 1 to 1 at dice down. Time constraints didn't allow us to calculate victory points to give a clear winner, but one thing is clear. More practice is needed!
-Rachel pulling ahead of the pack here with many units painted, but not as many games played. She completed an epic 10 points of painting bringing her total up to a respectable 45 points taking the overall lead and netting her last patch for the league.
-Brad is nipping at Rachels heels getting in a couple games and painting up his full battlebox getting him some painting points as well. 43 points is where he ended up, but he's vowed to pull ahead in painting points with his work commitments lightening up, he'll be able to get much more painting done.
-Daniel is pulling up the middle with his Trollblood menace nearly fully painted he's been handicapped during this league event, but has been getting in more games to offset the inability to get painting points. Currently at 31 points he was just able to get his third patch, and bring in for the home stretch.
-Although showing up late, Masukawa still managed to get in a couple games, learning more about Gaspy and his various tricks that he has in his arsenal. Luck seemed to abandon him at the last moment unfortunately, and a sure kill on Baldur turned into a loss, The Dragon Father was not pleased. 11 points this month, with 19 to go for a full patch assortment.
-While running this league Eric has been able to get a mountain of painting done with a total of 50 points completed 20 of which are painting points, he's leading the pack, but unable to claim any prizes.
-Le, Kaji, Henry, and Kel all had prior commitments so could not make it this time around, but we hope to see them next time for some good games and with more models painted up for the competition.
Over the next month, we see our forces increased to 25 points, freeing up many options to all of our armies. Many have committed to getting at least one unit painted and some have committed to even more. Rachel has received a huge stock of new Protectorate mini's in and Brad now has the time to get painting. We look forward to seeing you all at the next Fukuyama meeting, which will take place on August 24th, 2014. Please set your calenars and get to painting!
Current standings:
Rachel-45 Brad-43 Daniel-31 Masukawa-11 Le-N/A Henry-N/A Kel-N/A Kaji-N/A Eric-50

Woo-hoo! It's crazy I'm in first, but let this be a lesson to never underestimate the power of the creator. I'm going to make a strong push for more painting this month to beat my personal record of 10... But we'll see. This month I only got a few games in, but hopefully with timed turns I'll get more next month. In the meantime, daughters of the flame and High Exemplar Gravius are built and ready for priming, and Reznik and a Heirophant are halfway done on the painting tray! (Before and after photos will be posted later).
Ps-Hail Menoth!
