Ok, we're going to try something a little different today. In light of the fact that housing screwed us on a room, we're going to attempt to use the Hornet's Nest (SMP) on the North side of the base. This could help get us some exposure (aside from the awesome business cards and flyers that have gone out), and get us some new members.
Is it ideal? Not really. Will it work? Hopefully! If anyone needs a ride, I'll have transportation available, just give me a call: 080-4001-6404.
See you all there!

Fail. Sorry guys this didn't work for me. I had my daughter, and am neither single nor a Marine. So I wouldn't be able to justify using the location as a meeting place anyways. Just a matter of personal opinion and while I understand circumstances couldn't be helped, I was mildly disappointed.
Just a few questions:
How did Housing screw us?
Who played who and what games were played?
Did we get any interest stemmed from having it at this location?
Can anyone get a hold of Andrew for me and tell him he's got a PM waiting about his Cygnar?
Thanks guys!

I was certain that we'd reserved the room (I wrote it on the calender, like always after I reserve a room), and when no notice came, I didn't think much of it, as it wouldn't have been the first time we didn't get a notice (hence the calender). When room inspection went off, and they didn't have us down, I called to try to work something out, they told me that the policy had changed, and no rooms would be reserved after thursday. So, I was rather upset (i believe many many expletives were uttered at this point). We made some calls, and the best we could do aside from having it outside someplace was the SMP.
The Location wasn't ideal, I agree, and I apologize, especially to Eric, who couldn't show because of the location. We did get some interest, nothing too serious from what I noticed, but more than usual. Might have a new player in the making.
WarMachine went like normal, I played two games, one against Chagear (I won for once!.... I don't expect it to happen again anytime soon) and one against Dupree (This one was close.... I was sweating bullets). It came down to bad dice rolls as to why his cavalry didn't simply stomp all over my poor caster.
As far as WarHammer, I know Andrew played against Bledsoe, but I'm not sure who one, and I know bledsoe played another against Duerr and his damn grey knights.... I think the Space wolves actually one that one, despite heavy early game losses.
I think I have Andrew's number, I'll give him a call... and if I don't, I know Chagear does.
So, In summary, we got some good press from our last minute ditch at the SMP... oh, btw, the visitor rules have changed, so if one day you don't have your daughter, you can still use the facility. Kali and I were both there, so that's good information to know. I don't plan on making this a repeat use facility, BTW. It'll be used only in the event (to now be much more rare) that I screw up and don't have a room.
Again, I apologize for the inconvenience to others that the room may have caused, but it wasn't a total flop, in my opinion.
If anyone has any ideas for club events, or for anything else relating to the club for that matter, please let me know.

Talked to Andrew today.
I tied Andrew. I captured his objective, he didn't have mine but he killed Bjorn, making him an objective. so 1-1 tie at game end. He had me on the ropes tactically.
Against Duerr it was a slug fest but I didn't get his objective and he had mine contested, as well as an unclaimed Bjorn (he one shotted him on the first turn when he did his warp in where I want 1st turn deep strike which was unbeknownst to me). That game would have been interesting to see finished since we were both hurting pretty bad.

Yeah proxying my Army as Wolfies. I think I may have come up with a backstory. The Chapter is fleet based so their tenacity in combat is represented in their constant use in boarding actions. Attach my own names to stupid Wolf Wofl the Wolfheart Wolf Wolf and at least in the inside I'll feel good about it
