Welcome! This is the official announcement of the ICGC Journeyman League for Warmachine and Hordes. This league is geared toward new and veteran players who want to start a new faction within the two game systems above. The official rules are below:

As you can see it's geared for a 6 week period of starting out your force with a Battlebox or Battlebox equivalent and expanding it each week to end with a full 35 point force for either system. Remember Warmachine and Hordes can be played against each other.
The League will start on the 1st of January, with our first official game day being the 7th of January. Hopefully this will give everyone time to apply some paint to their models.
On the first you may submit a picture in this thread of your Starter box or physically show me for reference at any time after the 1st. I am putting a little trust into the group, for painters points here. Remember the purpose of the league is to start something new and go from there. On the first, models must be unassembled and unpainted, but may be prepared (mold lines removed and pinned where necessary) for assembly and painting.
Late entrants will be allowed for the first two weeks of the League. This means that you may start anytime within the first couple of weeks, but by the end of the second week you'll need to have at least 15 points of models built for play and another 10 points available for the third week.

Captain Bartolo Montador, Mariner, Freebooter, Buccaneer
Minions (Thornfall Alliance)
Lord Carver, War Hog, Gun Boar x2
Minions (Blindwater Congregation)
Bloody Barnabas, Blackhide Wrastler, Ironback Spitter
Those are the official lists for the factions that do not have Battleboxes released for them (Except Protectorate).
I realize that we do not have a Local Gaming Store, so getting the models we want in a timely manner will be a problem. This is why I'm announcing the League now. I have spoken with Will Hungerford, the Privateer Press Quartermaster, and he suggested we do one of two things.
1. We plan our purchases and armies ahead of time, using the next month and a half to get the things we want (hello Xmas lists) so it will all be ready to go when January rolls around.
2. We extend the one week periods to two week periods. That will give us the one week time frame that items take to get here and still have time to put them together and paint for the next game meetings. Basically one week will be a prep week where no one plays each other, the next will be the play week giving everyone a fair chance to get the stuff they want in.
I need feedback on this one guys. If you want to start planning your purchases now and buy what you need to be on the safe side, then by all means do so, but the start time on the league will not be postponed for any reason. Another note, if you do so, do not assemble or paint anything you get for the league, because if you do so you will not get journeyman or hobby points for these models. The point is to start from scratch with a new force.
