So you've gone and joined our forums. Welcome!
You will find that our gaming group (Iwakuni Community Gaming Club) is a very friendly, easy going, and great bunch of guys to hang around. We focus more on the hobby and fun aspect of all wargames, boardgames, and card games than the competitive side. We are all here to have a good time and enjoy ourselves rather than win every single game we play. Not to say we all don't have our competitive side, but that is not the only part of our hobby and we prefer to encompass all aspects of gaming as a whole.
The club has bi weekly meetings held on Saturdays. We usually get together at a community room available in one of the mid-rises here on base. Our game times range from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. In that twelve hour period we encourage players to get as many games in as they can, paint as much as they can, or talk about the hobby as much as they can. Of course most of us end up doing a little of each of these things throught the day. Keep an eye on the ticker on the main page for information on upcoming events and game days.
We play a myriad of games to include:
Warhammer 40,000
Warhammer Fantasy Battles
Warmachine
Malifaux
Battletech
RPG's such as:
Dark Heresy
Shadowrun
Battletech
Boardgames such as:
Blood Bowl
Descent: Journeys in the Dark
Zombies
Space Hulk
And many more... We're open to just about any game so feel free to bring something new to our next meeting and I'm sure you'll get a few people that will get a game in.
Want to help get the word out? Print out the attached document and put it up in any location available to the public to post flyers. It has our forum website and email address so that we can help spread the word of Table Top Gaming.
Forum use: The forums were set up for the club about 3 years ago by Webmaster Tim and are here for your convenience as a contact resource, news resource, and all around gaming resource for all members to use and post in. Post up anything and everything that is SFW here and let the good times roll. A couple things to add here. The forums are here for you, so use them, post well and post often. Need an idea on your next project? Post up a poll. Want to show off your recently finished model? Post up a pic. One thing will be covered here. If you take the time to activate an account on the forums, introduce yourself.
If you go one week after activating an account, and no post has been made, your account will be deleted. After two years of consecutive inactivity, your account will be deleted. We all know life can take over, and other things become more important, but in order keep the forums clean and free of bots, our moderators will be vigilant of any non compliance.
