So I've been thinking about Warmachine and Hordes lately. The main reason is that E-Figs has a rather good deal going on right now for starter sets of Warmachine and Hordes. We're looking at the following: Warmachine Mk. II Rulebook Faction Softcover Rulebook Warmachine Battlebox Warmachine Template set Faction Deck of Cards Faction Tokens OR Hordes Mk. II Rulebook Forces of Hordes Softcover Rulebook Hordes Warpack box Hordes Template set Warpack Deck of Cards Warpack Tokens Prices may vary slightly but most are around $80. If you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll get you a price. This is a great deal! So far I have a yes from Myself and Andrew. Any other takers? Need more info? Go to www.privateerpress.com

I believe I'll be going with Circle or Skorne, just because they're bad ass. Steve can you get with Brian and see if he's getting into WM/Hordes as well?

Okay so here's what ended up happeneing in order of sign-ups:
Chagear-Protectorate of Menoth Roy-Cryx Andrew-Protectorate of Menoth Nick-Khador Eric-Cygnar
I'm thinking we do mainly battle box wars until everyone who's getting into it does so. These usually run about 15 points or so (for those that have been studying the rulebook).
That's it for now folks, if anyone else is still interested, let me know on Saturday. $80 buy in.

A quick question, can you convert models for this game? The rule book says nothing about it. I don't much like the "fat belly" on one of my commander models so I want to convert, but I don't see many conversions on the web. Is it just to community not converting or a rule against it?
Also I need to order a choir or two...

There's nothing in the rules about it. Since all models have a set height and true LOS dosent really apply... I would say you're good to convert.

Sweet. I also think that I am going to make "volume" models. That is to say a base the is a cylinder with correct high for each base type. could help in solving A LOT of argument that might come from the W40K mentality of T.L.O.S.

Line of sight and all that is pretty well taken care of in Warmachine, although the Volume counters is a good idea. Chagear, your Menoth set is on the way, hope it gets here by Saturday. As for conversions, for the most part the Warmachine community doesn't do it. This is because each model has a particular model that everyone recognizes as that model. So I couldn't use my Stryker model as a Scorscha if I wanted to, it would cause too much confusion. For what you're saying though, you could always convert the big belly guy as a skinny version of the same model, that wouldn't be a problem. You could just say it was him in his younger years. As for me I've got 2 models built and painted, with my Lancer on the priming board, I'll be working on him tonight/tomorrow. Ironclad picture included below: Attachments:
