Finally watched the ultramarines movie last weekend. I have to say I was fairly impressed. I had pretty low expectations for it, but was proved wrong. Pros: - good story - sound was AMAZING - good representation of the 40k universe - nice plot twist Cons: - animation was mediocre, but a solid effort for a studios first movie - no blu-ray option (I'm a hi-def fiend) - no nids Overall a great first effort. Hopefully the success of this flick will warrant more in the future. What were everybody else's thoughts?

I second this opinion.

I was impressed with the effort they put into it. The only thing that weirded me out was the lack of noise when they moved. No servos, armor clanking, either the BIBs bathe in WD-40 or have some tactical upgrade. That, and the fact the landspeeder's multi-melta was huge. I mean, it was comically too large. Poor gunner couldn't even see over it.

(stupid little iPhone buttons). They need to do the next movie based on the book "Soul Hunter". IN MIDNIGHT CLAD!

Soul Hunter, such a good book. Getting off topic. Next up they should really pit the new recruits against a slavering horde of Tyranids!
