Whisperings in the warp that another Tyranid Codex will be out soon. Sooner than we think. After the May release of Imperial Guard, keep your guard (pun) up for Codex: Tyranids. October time frame is the word. Sightings of a Plastic Trygon for Apocalypse have been reported and Brimstone (GW Inside Source) has confirmed that such a model has been made.

No one is more excited about that then this guy.... However... I am equally dreading this... I suppose lets hope for the 5+ invul for the bugs! (it would be about damn time)

I'll check into this one for you and get back to you, there was something I saw concerning tau... Oh yeah, that's right they suck. On a side note, just so you know GW probably has their plates full with development and project management for the following armies who haven't had an update since 3rd edition: Dark Eldar, Necrons, Space Wolves, Blood Angels (WD doesn't count), Imperial Guard (up next), and Inquistors (Witch hunter, daemonhunter, and xenohunter) first, please.

(it would be about d**n time) Tyranids don't need 5+ invuls, that's what cover in 5th edition is for and it's even better at an average 4+ my friend. Just remember when all they had was a 5+ invulnerable (for Tyrants and Zoanthropes). That was the pits man.

I think you worng on the Blood Andels, theirs came on line and it's 5th. The inqusitor and xenohunter is 4th to it came out around the time the Tau did I'm almost sure that when I started playing check the date on the book.

As I said, the Blood Angels codex (if it can be called that) was released in June and July of 2007 (technically 4th). That doesn't really count because they did such a piss poor job of it and it completely knocked out the fluff.
As for the Daemon Hunter and Witchhunters codices, they were produced late 3rd edition possibly early 4th edition, but that was still 5+ years ago and were still in the 3rd edition mindset. Xenohunters was never released and is scheduled to be released with the Inquisition rulebook which will combine all three versions of the Ordos' into one book. Or such is the word on the street.
The bottom line is that Tau really needed to be toned down and thank god they were. You can win with Tau, you just have to think tactically about your actions and the units you take. All units in the army should be able to support the other units. If you're using a 'fish heavy army then don't take broadsides. If you're doing a static gunline, then deploying a 'fish may not be so smart.
GW will always reward their big sellers with codices before their slower sellers. Space Marines of course make up 60% (in one way or another) of 40k sales and of course that means that the 'poster children' of 40k will have more attention to focus on them. This generates revenue, which in turn will go to the development of lesser selling races (such as Dark Eldar-hello 9 years without a new codex) and Space Wolves (7).
Hopefully this has brought your optimism up on your codex. New releases will be out for each race eventually, until them make the best of what you have in your arsenal now. It can be a very hard army if used well. Remember your fighting formations (Patient Hunter, etc.)
End rant...
