Humans are the most flexible team in the game. No Human team starts off especially great at any one certain skill. This gives them an upper hand to a certain extent as you can mold a Human team the way that you want. Throwing, running, or bruising, the Human team is equally suited to take on all tasks. Lets take a look at our team choices:
0-16 Lineman-Starting with no skills the lineman is your basic player. He is resilient enough to take a beating and fast enough to outrun quite a few other players. His skills can be chosen from the General, Agility, Strength, and Passing categories. Depending on what you want him to do, the Lineman can be molded into just about any type of player you want. The Human lineman has an average price of 50,000 GP.
0-4 Catchers-Obviously these are the guys you want to be throwing the ball to. Catchers have a higher movement rating in exchange for a lower Strength and Armor Value. Don't let that fool you into thinking that it makes these guys any weaker though. The addition of the Catch and Dodge skills gives these guys a good chance that they'll catch any accurate pass and get away from opponents at the same time. Catchers can take skills from the General, Agility, Strength, and Passing categories. The cost comes in a little higher than lineman at 70,000 GP.
0-2 Throwers-These are your long bombers. If you're playing a passing game with your Human team you'll definitely want two of them on your team. With the Sure Hands and Pass skills they're sure to be able to pick the ball up and get it down the field with ease. Throwers can take skills from the General, Agility, Strength, and Passing categories. Throwers also have a cost of 70,000 GP.
0-4 Blitzers-These are your hard hitters. They're going to be protecting your players that have the ball and are going to be taking out the players that pose a threat to your team. With the Block skill they're sure to be able to sack a couple of players and put them out of the game. They have a high movement rate and can be molded into either offensive players or defensive players. Their cost is high at 90,000 GP.
0-1 Ogre-The Human team is the only other team Ogres willing play for. With a restriction of only 1 being able be fielded Ogres are a rare sight in a Human team. Ogres sacrifice movement and agility for a higher strength and armor value. Ogres come with a mixed bag of special abilities including Loner, Bone-head, Mighty Blow, Thick Skull, Throw Team-Mate. These can lead to some pretty interesting situations. If you see an Ogre on the field, be prepared for a fun game. Ogres are the most expensive investment coming in at 140,000 GP
And that concludes the Human team choices. Human teams are fairly cheap to start so that leaves quite a bit of money left over for extras.
Coming in at second lowest the Human re-rolls are 50,000 GP each. A worthy investment for any team in one-off or League play.
Once again tactics depend on the player. Human teams can be molded into any type of team you want.
