Warmachine is a Table Top game of Metal Monstrosities called Warjacks (or Jacks for short) and their controllers called Warcasters.
Warcasters are special people who can control the special cores of Warjacks and make them do thier bidding. The Warjacks singular purpose is to guide a Warjack into battle to do as much damage to the enemy as possible. There are several different Nations in the game of Warmachine all vying for the most precious commodity-Land.
Khador-These are like our Russian comrades of the old USSR. They are a hardy bunch and have bigger Jacks concentrated on close combat rather than shooting. The Khador believe that thier most hated enemy, The Cygnar, are trying to take their lands.
Cygnar-Considered the most technologicaly advanced race of the Immoren continent, these folk strive on using the enemy's weaknesses against them. They are elites amongst most other races. The Cygnar recently have fought a civil war with a newly formed government called the Menites.
Menoth-Holy zealots and religious fanatics the Menites were once a part of the Cygnar empire. Religious differences and persecution caused a schism between the two nations and has thus lead to war. They specialize in self flagellation and close-up area range attacks to do their business.
Cryx-The Cryxian Empire is one based on suffering, death, and destruction. Founded by one of the last remaining dragons, Cryx is intent on the corruption of all other life forms. Focused on Fast moving units and strength over defense the Cryx are a foe not to be under estimated.
Mercenaries-War is a good business and skilled warriors are all ways wanted. The mercenaries can be taken, depending on their outlook, with any army. Mercenaries can also be taken as Armies of their own.
These are the 5 races of the Warmachine world.
Game Play-Fast paced and unforgiving, Warmachine pits small squads of Warcasters, Jacks, and Infantry against eachother in different points matches. The goal? To eliminate your opponents forces of course! You'll never play the same game twice. Keep up with your enemy and as the Privateer Press edict states:
Play like you got a pair!
